Welcome to BA Hurricanes

The BA Hurricanes Dragonboat Team was formed in 1991 as a charity crew.  In the first season the team qualified for the finals of the Charity Challenge. Out of 17 crews the Hurricanes were the most inexperienced but they still managed to achieve 5th place.

Today the team, supported by BA Clubs , is an established competitor in the British Dragonboat Association Premier League and many of it's members have had the honour of representing Great Britain at international events.

The Hurricanes are a team built on the foundation of paddling with fun, friendship and family.  Parents and children paddle side-by-side from ages 15 to 50+ with close social links to many other teams .

The team's quest for new adventures and the search for new friends have taken them many times over the years to IOWA, USA (Cedar Rapids, Dubuque, Burlington and Fort Dodge) and to Cape Town, South Africa.
